Biography: Dr. Mzimela is a lecturer in Human Geography in the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies at the University of Zululand. Her research interests lie in Human Geography and Environmental Management, with a particular focus on climate change adaptation, Indigenous Knowledge Systems, feminist geography, urban geography, borders and migration, and rural development and livelihoods. Dr. Mzimela is also deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of scholars, supervising numerous postgraduate students across these research areas.
